Parallel to the Oscar Academy Awards, the Foreign Trade Center Los Angeles yesterday honored FACC with the “US-Biz Award”.

For the second time, the Austrian Economic Chamber presented the business awards in the categories "start up", "market entry", "trendsetters", "innovation", "investment" and "spectacular" to Austrian companies that reached outstanding achievements in the U.S. market.
And the winner is FACC.
The "US-Biz Award 2012" in the category „innovation" goes to FACC. FACC together with Boeing goes down in history with the 787 Dreamliner which is half made of composite material. As a composite specialist, FACC set new standards with regard to lightweight construction and developed advanced structural components for the fuselage, wings and engines of the Boeing 787 that reduce weight and fuel consumption, as well as operating and maintenance costs. Boeing recently awarded another contract to FACC under which FACC will supply horizontal stabilizer components for the longer version of the Dreamliner. The new contract strengthens FACC's role as direct supplier to Boeing. The U.S. is one of the most important markets of FACC.
