One year in flight – FACC celebrates Christmas

Just in time for the Christmas celebration on 30 November, the Federal Ministry for Industry, Family and Youth presented FACC AG with the state award for the best apprenticeship programs “Beste Lehrbetriebe – Fit for Future 2013”. Over 1,100 guests accepted the board’s invitation to the Christmas celebration at the Ried trade fair. In addition to honouring the successful apprentices highlights were also the creative juggling act and a retrospective of 2013, which once again looked back on a year of major successes at FACC.

People are high fliers. This guiding principle shapes FACC AG as an employer. “The principle leads to economic and personal success,” Chairman of the FACC AG board Walter A. Stephan is pleased with the 2013 Christmas celebration. On 30 November over 1,100 employees accepted the Upper Austrian company’s invitation to Hall 18 of the Ried trade fair. After some relaxed banter at the FACC advents market, Chairman Robert Machtlinger presented the “One year in flight” retrospective. Successful ongoing employee projects, such as “G’sund & zufrieden” [“Healthy & Satisfied”], tributes to longstanding employees and raffling a trip to China for the employees distinguished the company again as a popular employer in 2013, where team spirit and appreciation are valued. Reports on the presentations of the State of Upper Austria’s innovation prize and the state award for the best apprenticeship programs, “Beste Lehrbetriebe – Fit for Future 2013”, rounded out the informative section of the program. The Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce “ineo 2013 – 2016” award for excellent apprenticeship training is also worth mentioning here.

Another highlight of the Christmas celebration was honouring the successful apprentices. The Management Board and Works Councils thanked the young colleagues for their social commitment and their important work. After the tribute, jugglers Christoph and Manuel Mitasch from Gallneukirchen enthralled the guests. Culinary highlight of the party was the ample buffet from the Fischer-Mayerhofer canteen. The numerous guests then enjoyed a cosy end to the celebration together.
