The aerospace group FACC is strengthening its position on the global market and setting the course for a continued successful future with one of the best financial years in the company’s history, but also with new major orders from international players. The company was honored with the coveted HERMES.Wirtschafts.Preis award in the "Industry" category in recognition of its successful management and outstanding economic achievements.
FACC designs, develops and produces lightweight components and systems for all internationally renowned aircraft and engine manufacturers. Its high-tech products and innovative technologies are sold from Upper Austria to customers all over the world. In the 2017/2018 financial year, FACC generated sales of 750.7 million euros and recorded an export ratio of 99.7 percent. The innovative composite solutions and technologies "Made in (Upper) Austria" won over the HERMES jury consisting of Medienhaus KURIER, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economics, Leitbetriebe Austria, Reed Exhibition and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, which then bestowed the HERMES.Wirtschafts.Preis award in the "Industry" category on FACC. “We are very proud to have received this business award. This shows that our commitment as a local company is recognized and, above all, appreciated. We will therefore continue to lead the way and break new ground with innovations, courage and motivated employees," comments Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC.
Michael Tawrowsky (CEO Coface), Margarete Schramböck (Federal Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs) and Harald Mahrer (President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber) presented the sought-after award at the festive "Gala Night of the Austrian Economy" on 24 October in the Vienna Hofburg. Chief Financial Officer Aleš Stárek accepted the award in the "Industry" category on behalf of FACC.
