FACC organizes relief supplies to Ukraine

As an immediate action to support people in need in the Ukraine, FACC AG organized a transport of relief supplies to the Ukraine. In cooperation with Ukrainian organizations, FACC employees collected warm clothing, blankets, sanitary articles, and food that directly benefit the local population.

In this donation campaign, speed was of the essence. Within only two days, the 3,000 or so FACC employees collected relief goods amounting to a shipping volume of 40 tons, which were loaded in Ried im Innkreis and shipped to a distribution center at the Polish-Ukrainian border by a forwarding company. The enormous response to the internal appeal for donations is evidence of how deeply shocked the FACC staff is about the current conflict. The spontaneous donation campaign was enabled mainly by the logistics experts of FACC. Boxes normally used to transport high-tech parts for aircraft allowed the space-saving arrangement and stowage of the aid supplies. Additionally, an FACC truck was sent to Vienna to pick up donations collected there and ship them to the Ukraine, too.

The situation on site and human suffering in the Ukraine leaves us all appalled and saddened. It was important to all of us to do our bit in this situation”, says Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC AG.
