Last night, on the 14th of June 2018, the “Pegasus” was awarded, which is one of the most important economic prizes of the state of Upper Austria. Being a global leader among the aerospace technology enterprises, FACC received the “Pegasus” in bronze in the category “Lighthouses”. “It took lots of courageous decisions, numerous changes and some expansion steps to become what we are today: a technology enterprise radiating on an international scale. Of that, we are very proud. For the whole FACC crew, this prize means a confirmation of our sustainability and success“, says Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC.
What began as a first idea in the research department of Fischer Ski in Ried im Innkreis in 1981 has become a corporation of international standing within less than three decades. In the financial year 2017/2018, FACC achieved the best corporate figures since the company was founded. The turnover was increased by 6.4 percent to 750.7 million euros. The aerospace enterprise not only ranks among the most renowned international industrial enterprises but is also one of the most important and biggest job motors in Upper Austria. Currently, more than 3,400 people work for the company. Therefore, FACC’s social responsibility is high. „In recent years, FACC has become one of the leading companies in Austria, radiating far beyond the borders of the country, of which we are particularly proud “, says Machtlinger.
The “Pegasus” was presented at the Brucknerhaus concert hall in Linz by Axel Greiner, the President of the IV Upper Austria.
