FACC has not only been an important employer in Upper Austria for many years, but also stands for high quality apprentice training. The "State-Honored Training Company" seal of approval is confirmation of FACC's strong commitment to apprentice training. Year after year, the company also impresses with top rankings in apprentice competitions. "Our apprentices continuously impress with excellent results at apprentice competitions and outstanding performances at vocational school," comments Head of Training Helmut Winkler, thus confirming the quality of training at FACC. "We offer dedicated young people an ideal environment to train as specialist workers. As in previous years, we are delighted that our work is bearing fruit again this year and that we are receiving nationwide recognition for these achievements.”
FACC impresses with top results time and time again
A total of 712 apprentices from 87 Upper Austrian companies took part in the apprentice competition of the industry division. At FACC, 11 apprentices entered the competition in total. The fact that each and every one of them successfully completed their assigned tasks testifies to the great team performance of the FACC Future Team. FACC apprentices in plastics engineering in particular were able to put their competence and high-quality training to the test. In this category, Alexandru Papa and Maximilian Gramang ranked second and third respectively. The FACC Future Team also scored a further success in the field of design engineering with Jana Badegruber taking third place in the special "Women in Technology" category. The three apprentices mastered all challenges with ease and were rewarded with the best marks. "We are thrilled to have received this award. Thanks to our excellent training, we did very well in the practical part," Jana Badegruber stressed on behalf of all participants of the FACC Future Team. All three winning apprentices are currently in their 2nd year of training.
Soaring to new heights with FACC
FACC was founded over 30 years ago and has been training apprentices since 2001. Whether plastics engineering, design engineering, metal working technology/milling, cutting and machining techniques, process technology and information technology, systems engineering or application development/coding, every apprenticeship program offers opportunities to work on aircraft components that travel around the world. By completing apprenticeship training with the aerospace group FACC, the fascinating world of aviation becomes tangible and alive.
FACC is currently training 46 young people - 22 girls and 24 boys. Apprentices receive comprehensive and holistic vocational training at the individual FACC sites, which not only imparts specialist knowledge but also promotes personal development. The training modules include social competence workshops and courses on topics such as efficient budgeting, road safety, addiction prevention etc. as well as internal and external specialist training sessions, excursions to various companies and comprehensive preparation and support for passing the final apprenticeship examination. The dual part-time vocational training system enables apprentices to gain practical work experience at an early stage and prepares them for their future tasks as skilled workers. After successfully completing their training, the new skilled workers have access to a variety of interesting and varied career opportunities in a globally active company. These opportunities also include management functions in many areas of the FACC Group.
