- More than 80 percent of FACC's 2,700 employees were immunised against COVID-19 by the end of November 2021!
- FACC's successful prevention strategy is based on five pillars: open information of the workforce, consistent prevention work in the company, ongoing support of employees in prevention, the Corona regulations in the company are clearly communicated and exemplified by the managers.
"From the very beginning, we have relied on consistent and transparent COVID 19 prevention management," reports Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC AG. And this is having an effect: by the end of November 2021, more than 80 percent of the FACC workforce, in some areas the vaccination rate is 90 - 98%, were immunised against COVID-19. This immunisation rate is significantly above the Austrian national average and far above the regional values
"Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been pursuing a proactive prevention strategy so that we can protect our workforce in the best possible way and safeguard our corporate processes even in times of pandemic," emphasises Machtlinger. Only recently, 450 employees received a booster vaccination in one day at the FACC vaccination line. 50 people received their first COVID-19 vaccination at the same time. The first in-house vaccination line was already organised in May 2021: At that time, around 1,800 employees, their relatives and people from the region took the opportunity to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at FACC. And FACC remains committed: the offer for ad-hoc vaccinations at FACC's company doctors has never been interrupted and will be further expanded in the coming weeks.
In parallel to the vaccination offer, FACC is pursuing a comprehensive testing concept: more than 60,000 Corona tests have been carried out in-house so far. Three times a week, employees can make use of PCR testing facilities within the company. In this way, we make compliance with the 3G rule compatible and applicable in the workplace. FACC continues to rely on the testing of all employees, as is the case now. In the period before Christmas and immediately after the Christmas holidays, the entire FACC workforce, whether vaccinated or recovered, is preventively subjected to an antigen test during working hours. In addition, another good testing and prevention instrument was used by the company at the entrances of the plants by means of fever measuring stations.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, FACC has set up a COVID 19 task force consisting of top management, doctors and staff representatives, which analyses the situation on a weekly basis and controls the Corona measures within the company. The assessments and measures are communicated directly to the employees via the internal communication channels. "Open and quick information, support in prevention, clear and consistently implemented regulations as well as an active role model of the prevention measures - these are essential factors that make our Corona management successful," Robert Machtlinger is convinced. "Ultimately, however, it is a joint success of all of us. Our FACC crew has supported the measures from the very beginning and implemented them in an exemplary manner," emphasises Machtlinger. "And that is the most important basis for success. Because the Corona pandemic can only be mastered together through consistent action."
