- As a member of the Embraer Supplier Advisory Council, FACC is actively shaping the mobility of the future.
Last week in São José dos Campos, Brazil, FACC was honored with a Supplier of the Year Award by Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer as one of only ten companies worldwide. Received for the third consecutive year, the award recognizes FACC’s outstanding operational performance. FACC has been a strategic partner of the world’s third-largest aircraft manufacturer for years and has been a member of Embraer’s Supplier Advisory Council since 2024. The award, which was won in the Aerostructures category, was accepted in São José dos Campos by CEO Robert Machtlinger and Andreas Furthmayr, Executive Vice President Aerostructures, who also held discussions in Brazil regarding further deepening future cooperation.
“Being named ‘Supplier of the Year’ for the third year in a row is an extraordinary recognition of our work and a tribute to the achievements of our FACC crew. It underscores not only FACC’s technological excellence, but above all the deep trust that Embraer places in us as a strategic partner. This benefits not only FACC, but the entire Austrian aerospace industry with its strong supplier network,” emphasizes CEO Robert Machtlinger.
FACC is shaping the future of mobility at the forefront together with Embraer
As part of the partnership with Embraer, in place since 2006, FACC supplies key structural components for passenger aircraft, including wing components such as ailerons, spoilers, wingtips or flap track fairings. The two companies also maintain close cooperation in the interior sector—as underscored by the recently announced contract for the interior of the new Praetor business jet family. A strategic partnership for the future between FACC and Embraer also exists in the field of Advanced Air Mobility: Together with Eve Air Mobility, a company that is part of the Embraer group, FACC is developing components for a long-range, electrically powered passenger drone (eVTOL). As part of this partnership, FACC is responsible for the development and production of the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and their moving parts (elevators and ailerons), as well as wing components.
FACC as Embraer’s Leading Partner in Austria
FACC is Embraer’s leading partner in Austria. This partnership also benefits a network of highly innovative Austrian companies that provide services and products to FACC. A significant portion of the value creation — and, consequently, numerous jobs — thus remains in Austria. Companies such as F/LIST, Antemo, and Isovolta are part of FACC’s innovative supplier network. Due to the projected growth in demand for both passenger aircraft and business jets, the collaboration between FACC and Embraer will be further expanded in the coming years — a development that will also benefit FACC’s Austrian supplier network.
