About this job
We are looking for a dedicated and highly communicative individual who can take our operations planning processes to the next level. In this role, you will combine strategic thinking with operational excellence to create a transparent, reliable foundation for decision-making across the entire organization.
Your Tasks
As Director Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), you will assume overall responsibility for the end-to-end S&OP process and ensure that demand, capacity, inventory, and financial targets are optimally aligned. In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Product Management to create an integrated, reliable, and data-driven decision-making foundation for the entire company. With your structured, communicative approach, you will lead cross-functional S&OP meetings, continuously improve planning quality, and ensure that all teams work based on a shared plan—transparently, proactively and effectively. Your main responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for sales and production planning (including demand analysis and production planning) as well as determining required plant capacities (Kappa planning) and staffing needs (workforce planning)
- Ensuring and monitoring delivery reliability to customers while considering component availability and production inventory
- Driving the S&OP transformation through best practices, automation and digital tools
- Providing disciplinary and technical leadership and fostering the development of the existing team
- Responsibility for process improvement initiatives (time management, value stream mapping, multi-point analysis, cycle time analysis) and the development of clear governance structures, templates, calendars and KPI dashboards
- Optimizing inventory levels to balance availability, efficiency and costs and working closely with the supply chain, production, and procurement teams to prevent bottlenecks early on
- Preparing clear decision-making documents and analyses for management
- Developing and maintaining KPIs for forecast accuracy, capacity utilization and inventory health and identifying opportunities, risks and trends.
Your Profile
- Strong analytical skills and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience leading and developing cross-functional process improvement initiatives
- In-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, ISO standards, or comparable frameworks
- A clear eye for strategic thinking and long-term planning
- Proficiency in English
- Solid experience in project and change management
- A leadership personality with a commanding presence and the ability to serve as a role model at all levels of the organization
Our Offer
- A key role with significant autonomy
- A secure position at a leading, innovative, international company
- Opportunities for personal and professional growth
- A mentoring program for a professionally structured onboarding process
- Attractive employee benefits, such as a company bike program, a subsidized cafeteria, and various events
- Flexible working conditions and a supportive work environment
For us, it’s the person that matters – not a perfect CV. Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still like to hear from you. Your annual salary is based on your previous professional experience and educational level and ranges between € 70.000,- und € 110.000,- gross p.a. full-time basis. If you exceed the requirements, we can adjust this scale. As an international company, FACC also offers interesting development opportunities and attractive social benefits.
