FACC is one of the leading international technology groups in the aerospace industry and a leading Austrian company. The consistent training and continuing education of the workforce is at the top of the company's agenda. Apprentices play a particularly important role in this. Just recently, four girls and three boys began their vocational training at FACC.
FACC is shaping the mobility of the future with innovative lightweight components, aerospace technologies and high-end services. This requires not only a strong, pulsating research and development in the company, but also a general openness for new ideas and a view beyond existing horizons. "It is our employees who make the difference", Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC AG, is convinced. "It is them who contribute their ideas, their passion, their enthusiasm and thus consistently develop our products and services further or reinvent them again and again".
Tomorrow's specialists play a decisive role in working on the mobility of tomorrow. FACC is committed to providing sound and high-performance vocational training with a diverse training program in the apprenticed professions of IT systems engineering, application development, design, process engineering, metal and cutting technology and plastics technology.
In mid-August, seven young people began their first year of apprenticeship: Elena Leitner, Verena Pühringer, Antonia Woelfleder, Samuel Egger and Lucas Schaffer began their training as plastics technicians, Lucie Kotter as a design engineer and Ionel Mayrhofer as a process engineer. Currently, a total of 44 apprentices are completing their top-class training program at FACC.
"I wish all FACC youngsters a good start or a successful course of their vocational training in our company. I have fond memories of my own time as an apprentice at FACC. The FACC apprentice training offers a stable basis for the future career", Robert Machtlinger is convinced.
At FACC, apprentices experience a varied training
The FACC Future Team, as the apprentices in the aerospace group are called, learns valuable skills in the individual professional fields, but also experiences sustained personal development. In versatile training sessions, on action-packed excursions and in the context of exciting class projects, the apprentices not only gain valuable expertise, but also develop personally and absorb the typical FACC spirit into their DNA.
"Our apprentices are integrated into the work processes right from the start. There is a cooperation at eye level", Helmut Winkler, Apprentice Instructor at FACC, describes the company philosophy. "We offer above-average salaries, bonuses for outstanding vocational school certificates and apprentice competitions, intensive preparation for the final apprenticeship examination and the youth network ticket," says Winkler.
FACC wants to offer apprentices an optimal environment for their training to become highly competent specialists. The mix of professional training and individual additional offers is very well established. FACC's own training workshops, the internal specialized training in the FACC Academy, job rotation through various company divisions as well as apprentice projects with a social character and special preparatory courses for the final apprenticeship examination are essential cornerstones of the FACC training program.
"Our apprenticeship training is an important joint investment in the future and for us a fundamental part of our self-image as a leading company and good neighbor in the region. We want to accompany young people as they enter the professional world and offer them highly exciting prospects in an absolutely future-oriented field. That is our clear goal," emphasizes Robert Machtlinger.
