In the first employer brand study conducted in Austria, more than 7,500 Austrians evaluated 150 of the country's largest companies (in terms of the number of employees) according to key criteria such as career development, working atmosphere, job security, attractive employee benefits and salaries, use of state-of-the-art technologies and many others. The study participants rated the high-tech group FACC as the fourth-best employer in Austria (52%). Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC, comments on this positive employer rating as follows: “For us, this ranking confirms FACC's brand position as an innovative, sustainable and employee-focused technology company. Our employees, their encouragement and personal development as well as living up to their expectations of an attractive employer are integral parts of our vision, culture and the values we live by. This is because our employees are the foundation of our success. At the same time, achieving fourth place is above all an obligation to consistently reflect and continue on the path we have chosen.” Continuous improvements in all areas of the company are an integral part of FACC's corporate culture. Through their own initiatives, employees make a significant contribution to the company's continuous development. This also includes employee, team and organizational projects.
Focus on qualified staff
The development and manufacture of innovative lightweight components and systems requires know-how and expertise. FACC employs more than 3,400 members of staff worldwide and invests 1.5 million euros per year in the personal development of dedicated professionals. With the aim of further improving FACC in a collective effort through ongoing learning, 600 training and further education seminars were held at the FACC Academy last year alone.
The global aerospace leader also strives to maintain the highest quality standards in apprentice training. "Our apprentices are currently enrolled in six different training programs. As a leading technology company, we are thrilled that young women now account for 30 percent of all apprentices,” says Machtlinger. The company was awarded the “State-Honoured Training Company” prize by the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Industry in recognition of its high-quality apprentice training.
