AVIC, the core shareholder of FACC AG, is uniting its other global subsidiaries under a new holding structure, thereby creating an alliance of Interior know-how covering all areas of the aircraft cabin. In addition to FACC (www.facc.com), AIM Altitude (www.aimaltitude.com), Thompson Aero Seating (www.thompsonaero.com), Jiatai (www.alijt.com.cn) and Fesher (www.fesher.net) are now also represented.
The new partnership in the Interior market will open up new business opportunities for FACC, which continues to operate independently. In addition to the already extensive FACC Interior product portfolio, the global market for civil aircraft can be offered entire aircraft cabin systems including on-board kitchens and, if required, aircraft seats from one alliance. The partner companies which complement each other perfectly, together with their complementary market access, offer many advantages in a dynamic market environment. More specifically, the partnership is expected to create added value in the following areas:
- Integrated product and competence portfolio
- Expansion of existing business relationships within the customer network
- Establishment of a platform to develop the Interior standards of tomorrow
- Global service network across all areas
While FACC mainly operates as a development and manufacturing partner of aircraft manufacturers (OEMs), other partners have direct business relationships with airlines. This opens up additional new possibilities for FACC both in the original equipment segment and in direct customer relations with airlines. The aim is to be able to offer complete solutions from a single source, from the entrance area through to the galley and the master cabin. This applies to both the complete original equipment of aircraft and the retrofit, repair and service market, which is covered by FACC's new "Aftermarket Services" unit.
The participating companies operate production facilities on four continents: America, Asia, Australia and Europe. "AVIC Cabin Systems will not only strengthen our position in the OEM business, but will also provide essential support in developing and expanding our newly launched Aftermarket Services. This will enable us to offer our customers the best on-site service around the clock and all over the world," emphasizes Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC AG.
