Manufacturing

People achieve success, technology ensures efficiency.

Quality and capacity: Working in the aeronautics industry invariably demands a high level of responsibility. Quality work requires qualified staff. That's just what we have at FACC, and we are proud of our team. People from more than 35 countries are working for FACC and in line with the group's high quality standards.

Our products are manufactured at four production sites in Austria, covering a total area of more than 60,000 m². The geographical closeness of these sites generates additional advantages in terms of flexibility and logistics.

Competence and efficiency: Building on the high capacity and flexibility, the complex configuration management ensures FACC's compelling delivery performance with short turnaround times.

To best cater to the individual needs of customers, the manufacturing unit is organized in specially trained product teams. The synergy of cutting-edge highly automated manufacturing technology and FACC's qualified staff ensures time and cost-effective manufacturing.

Precision for perfectionthroughout all process steps:

Selection of materials: High-quality prepregs, selected to the strictest quality criteria, form the basis.

Cutting: Precision cutting in the cleanroom in ideal temperature/humidity conditions for the material.

Positioning: State-of-the-art laser technology and manual precision work are used to position the layers.

Manufacturing: Teams trained specifically for certain customer products manufacture the components.

Curing in autoclaves: Using pressure and heat, components with dimensions up to x meters are cured for 3-5 hours in the autoclave.

Curing in presses: Compact components are cured in special presses.

CNC machining: Cutting-edge CNC machine tools execute operations such as drilling or milling.

Finishing: FACC offers customization to individual preferences. On request, it paints products using customer designs.

Completing: The components are completed into a ready-to-install format for easy assembly at the customer's site.

Quality testing: Concomitant quality inspections are conducted for each manufacturing step. Finished products are subjected to comprehensive final tests and inspections (ultrasonic, radiographic, immersion leak testing).
